The 2017 Luminarie was held from December 8 2017- December 17, 2017 at Higashi Yuenchi Park, Chuo-ku, Kobe. This is to bring hope for the community who once was victims of the said earthquake.

By visiting this perfect lights festival, we felt that Christmas was in the air even if me and my family are far away from home.

In addition, it was also the 150th anniversary of Kobe Port.

☆ During this time, I just got out from the hospital from a surgery (hard headed me wants to stroll around!) please excuse me for the unperfect photos.

Wow such an awesome sight and for a good cause.

Thank you @maverickinvictus It was also an emotional event for them. Some photographers are emotionally capturing photos of this event (especially the old ones), their gestures in capturing photos is really something you can feel in them. I was able to appreciate this kind of culture they have. Emotional but with lots of hopes. :)

This event really showcases Japanese people's resilience - gaman.
