Terra is a decentralized public blockchain protocol for algorithmic stablecoins, built using Tendermint.
Stablecoins are tokens that hold their value stably e.g. Tether, Binance USD, TerraUSD, USD Coin and many more.
Tendermint refers to a group of technologies that can be used to build custom blockchains.
Terra tokens are stablecoins that track the price of fiat currencies. Terra stablecoins include TerraSDT, TerraUSD and TerraKRW.
The LUNA token absorbs all the volatility of Terra prices. This means that the more Terra tokens are used, the more the LUNA token is worth.
Although the LUNA token is very well known and is ranked 9th with a market capitalization of $32,860,259,085, we decided to mention it here because the price increase this year is really unreal and we believe that the price of LUNA will look even higher. At the beginning of this year, the value of LUNY was below $1 and today it has almost reached $100.
