HELLO π (PI)

The irrational number π (Pi) is a very important mathematical constant, known and used in Mathematics as well as in Physics and Engineering, it is defined as the relation between the length of a circle and its diameter.

The irrationality of the number π, is based on its numerical value, which is infinite in its decimals, always using its approximate values, such as: (3.14), (3.1416) or (3.141592653589793238).

Curious Data of the Number π (Pi)

1.- Has one day of the year assigned for its celebration: March 14 (3/14 due to its best known approximation: 3.14). It could not be established on April 31 (31/4), because that date does not exist in the Gregorian calendar by which we are governed.

2.- It is also assigned a natural hour of the day (3:49) (3.82 hours = 3 hours with 49 minutes as a result of dividing the 24 hours of the day between 2π (2 Pi), which is the length of the time circumference for the full day and measured in hours (24h)).

3.- Likewise, it is assigned another time of the day as a consequence of the traditional clock of 12 hours (1:55) (1.91 hours = 1 hour with 55 minutes, as a result of dividing the 12 clock hours between 2π (2 Pi), which is the length of the circumference of the clock measured in hours (12h)).

4.- The assigned year is more complicated and a consensus has not been reached; but, the tendency is to say that its "first date" was the year 314; and its "next date" will be the year 3141.

El número irracional π (Pi) es una constante matemática muy importante, conocida y utilizada tanto en Matemáticas como en Física e Ingeniería, se define como la relación entre la longitud de una circunferencia y su diámetro.

La irracionalidad del número π, esta fundamentada en su valor numérico, el cual es infinito en sus cifras decimales, utilizándose siempre sus valores aproximados, tales como: (3,14), (3,1416) o (3,141592653589793238).

Datos Curiosos del Número π (Pi)

1.- Tiene asignado un día del año para su celebración: Marzo 14 o 14 de Marzo (3/14 debido a su aproximación más conocida: 3,14). No pudo ser establecido el 31 de Abril (31/4), porque dicha fecha no existe en el calendario Gregoriano por el cual nos regimos.

2.- También tiene asignada una hora natural del día (3:49) (3,82 horas = 3 horas con 49 minutos como resultado de dividir las 24 horas del día entre 2π (2 Pi), la cual es la longitud de la circunferencia horaria para el día completo y medida en horas (24h)).

3.- De igual manera, se le asigna otra hora del día como consecuencia del reloj tradicional de 12 horas (1:55) (1,91 horas = 1 hora con 55 minutos, como resultado de dividir las 12 horas del reloj entre 2π (2 Pi), la cual es la longitud de la circunferencia del reloj medida en horas (12h)).

4.- El año asignado es mas complicado y no se ha llegado a un acuerdo consensuado; pero, la tendencia es a decir que su "primera fecha" fué el año 314; y su "siguiente fecha" será el año 3141.
