Forth in Thy Name, O Lord, I Go Verse 5

in lyric •  6 years ago

The treasure of every man is indicated in where his interest lies. In this verse you see the author ask God to give him a yoke that is easy to bear. He did not ask that the yoke be taking away, but that the it becomes easy for him to bear. His desire is the gloriou eternal glory and he is watching and praying and not moved by things but focused on the goal! Enjoy the verse

Give me to bear thy easy yoke,
and every moment watch and pray,
and still to things eternal look,
and hasten to thy glorious day;

We must endeavour to live a life that please the Lord and never distract our purpose from the way of the Lord. The Lord will help us to always follow Him.
Amen
