I'm planning to write a series of posts about the tools that get stuck with me. I try a lot of different tools and always strive to perfect my working environment, after all, I spend 40+ hours a week in front of the machine, so it better be productive.
Magnet
With the huge screen estate available in today's high-res monitors I need help using this environment. Magnet is one of those tools (another one will be the next post). Magnet is a small windows manager application sitting in your status bar, making it easy to divide the screen in three different ways:
- Choosing the area in the drop-down menu
- Using shortcut commands
- Or just by dragging the window to the screen edge. Depending on where it is dragged it will be placed in different configurations.
