Has solo traveling ever crossed your mind? So what stops you from dragging yourself to the place where your heart tells you to go?
Just the thought of traveling all by myself makes my heart flutter. The idea gets me excited. But not long until I realize it isn't a walk in a park. Lots of things have to be considered though. Intimidating. That's how I used to picture it out. You agree, don't you?
I made my first ever solo international travel in 2019. My motivation? Become a better version of myself. Too cringy? But true (chuckles)
As a first timer, I was as paranoid as you imagine. Hmm, you might be one of the 'I can relate' person. Nevertheless, you'll gain confidence once you've come up with a plan.I'm glad I can share some tips on how I did it.
INSTALL TRAVEL APPS
I booked my flight via Cebu Pacific and activities in Klook. For my accommodation, I had it in Agoda.
I stayed in Ka Meng Villa for 4D3N. It's a single air-conditioned room with shared bathroom. Book in advance to get cheaper rates.
I arrived around 5 in the afternoon. GPS has been my travel buddy since I started traveling alone and with my friends back in the Philippines. But not all the time GPS and GOOGLE search can help you find your way. Luckily, there are kababayans willing to be your instant tour guide. You can ask the locals too.
Bus is the most common means to get around Macau. Purchase Macau pass at the airport for easy access to transportation. You may use cash in paying but make sure to drop the exact amount. You'll receive no change otherwise.
PLACES TO VISIT IN MACAU
Visiting Macau in Christmas makes your solo-adventure memorable. The night gets livelier and everywhere seems to sparkle. Just put your jackets, sweater or coats on as the temperature drops.
See you in my next adventure 😉
