Name This Insect Please - Macrophotography

in macrophotography •  7 years ago

These pictures were shot some time ago and I've been keeping them believing that one day, I will get someone to truly identify this "butterfly". It was by chance I got the shots as the insect was restless going from flower to flower looking for nectar.

These were shot at my Inlaw's place which unlike my place, was still a haven for wildlife.

Camera was Nikon D60 with 55-200mm Nikkor lens set at 200mm on Aperture Priority with f/5.6 stop set. (if I were to shoot this once again, I will shoot on shutter priority with Auto ISO).

Can anyone tell me the name of this insect?.
