Darut Jen - Two Types Of Locusts

in macrophotography •  6 years ago

Hallo best friend steemians !!!!
I am again present in the mission of supporting the acehmacro community, and today I am again getting small species.

A perfect job especially for me personally and for a step further community acehmacro.

My work today has two unique species, the species I mean are grasshoppers. the species that I get this (grasshopper), is not the same as a grasshopper usually.

The two species I put here are mentioned in the aceh (darut jen) community of "locusts".

These two species are already beginning to become rare in aceh. this species (darut jen) "jinn locusts" can not be consumed, and the two species I put here have different shapes.

One species is slightly short, with elongated legs. and one more pointy species, with short legs.

The first species (darut jen) has a short body shape, with legs elongated.

Photo Darut Jen, the picture perfect because the moment is very close. so very clearly we see the shape of his body. Why do Acehnese call this locust Darut Jen?

Whether this grasshopper is a descendant of Jen because I see the grasshopper's this face is indeed scary or maybe Darut Jen can be exploited by bad people to mensantet others. Hello @abudar Do you know the origin of the name Darut Jen? Thank you for posting your photos today very well.

basically I do not know the origin of the animal is called 'darut jen'.
but there is a word from one of the eldest in aceh, because "darut" can not be consumed, therefore, it is termed "darut jen".

The Acehnese call it Darut Jen, its original name is "Grasshopper Leaves", the image above shows this grasshopper is a small grasshopper that does not yet have a large wing that will look like a leaf.

After much reading on the blog, I also found the name of grasshoppers seen below, these locusts are called green grasshoppers that have slightly pointy heads, different from other locusts.

yes you are right, but I am not talking scientific language, I try to find the background name given by my ancestors

Good anwers...100 for you mr @abudar
