Butterflys are a familiar type of insect among our colorful and winged triangles. Butterflies belong to an ordo or a large group of insects called Lepidoptera.

The scientific name of butterfly group from small scales that fill its wings. The word Lepidoptera comes from two Greek words lepis meaning "scales" and pteron which means "wings". Butterfly wings are not modified limbs, but are extensions of the cuticle.

Butterflies have one pair of wings that emerge from the dorsal thorax because the wing is an expansion of the cuticle and is not a true limb. Butterflies can fly without having to sacrifice the feet for the ability to walk on

For the human eye, butterfly wings appear to be flapping regularly, for those of us who want to see the details of the shape and wings can take advantage of the sophistication of technology by using a macro lens or other more sophisticated tools. While the photos that I share this is a photo by utilizing a macro lens for a smartphone camera.
