Caterpillar is a larval stage that includes butterflies and moths. Caterpillars are plant-eating although some species are insectivorous. Caterpillars are also considered pests in agriculture. Many species of moths are known for their caterpillars causing damage to fruits, vegetables and other types of agriculture.
