My New African Violet
One of my favorite flowers
About the plant:
Saintpaulias, also commonly known as African Violets are a genus of 6–20 species of the herbaceous perennial flowering plants in the family Gesneriaceae. They are native to Tanzania and adjacent southeastern Kenya in eastern tropical Africa. Typically, the African violet is a common household indoor plant.

My Dad had these growing in our kitchen window, I have never been successful with them, they last a couple of months and then die (perhaps too much watering)
