Water bubbles

Macro photography – it’s extremely close-up photography; it’s about capturing on photo all the details that our eyes doesn’t really get to see very well on insects, flowers or any other small subjects. Please do not confuse this with an ordinary photo on which you just zoom in to see it bigger!

For my photo above, not having a dedicated macro-lens, I had to improve :)) I just used the “reverse lens technique”. So... I put my 18-55mm (a Nikkor lens) on my Nikon d3100 body, on the lens I put an adapter ring on which I’ve attached another lens (a 18-55mm Tamron) but overturned :O After all this I put my camera on a tripod and right in front of the camera, just millimeters away from the second lens, put a glass of mineral water on a chair. You could say “wow all that trouble???”... and I’ll just say “But look at the result!”:)

Down here you’ll find more exemples of my practice from that day :)
