Thank You. i you plan to shoot macro do get a macro lens. and for birds get at least 400mm onwards. I have not used those expensive nikkor 400mm lens. but i have a feeling they gives better results, compare to my tamron. but on macro lens. 60mm 2.8d works for me. but having the 105mm macro should be better. problem with bigger lens is it will also be heavy.
