The wonderful world of insects - The green rose chafer

in macrophotography •  7 years ago

Some time ago I started the "The Wonderful World of Insects" project. Today I want to show you some photos of "The green rose chafer" beetle.
This beautiful beetle can be found in a variety of colors; green, variegated or golden. The adult beetles are active between April and September. They feed on leaves, fruits, flowers and buds of a range of plants including roses.
I was lucky enough to find these beetle in Chindia Park, because they are rare in this area. Like any other insect, it's pretty hard to photograph. If you get very close, they'll take their flight right away.
Note: As usually I do not write these post as an insects specialist(I'am not). I write this post as a photographer. I am just an observer of nature through the camera lens.
Here are some photos I've been able to take before they go away.
