One flower, two me

His name is Helianthus annuus.

He's got a lot of names in Spanish.
They move with the sun, or so Wikipedia and my grandmother say.
When they don't move with it (the sun), they turn into daisies.
And they can be ten feet tall, twice my size.

This sunflower is in my backyard.
This sunflower became a daisy.
It seems to have little flowers where its seeds go.
He's not ten feet tall yet, but he's already taller than me.
And the rains of April leave their dew every day.

Su nombre es Helianthus annuus.
Tiene un montón de nombres en español.
Se mueven con el sol, o eso dicen Wikipedia y mi abuela.
Cuando no se mueven con él (el sol), se convierten en margaritas.
Y pueden medir tres metros de alto, el doble de mi tamaño.

Este girasol está en mi patio.
Este girasol se convirtió en una margarita.
Parece tener pequeñas flores donde van sus semillas.
Aún no mide tres metros, pero ya es más alto que yo.
Y las lluvias de abril dejan su rocío todos los días.
