Macrophotography: The Nutcracker

in macrophotography •  7 years ago

This little nutcracker is my entry for this week Juliank's macrophotography contest...

Nutcracker dolls are most commonly known as Christmas nutcrackers ...

they normally resemble a toy soldier and were originally functional but nowadays they are not able to crack nuts but instead are merelly decorative ...

they are orignally from Germany but now are popular all around the world ...

Further popularization came from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, a ballet adaptation of E. T. A. Hoffmann's story...

The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, which featured a toy soldier nutcracker.

I hope you like it ...
