Macro photography - An Ants invasion

in macrophotography •  7 years ago

I use the term macro photography VERY loosely.... is more like 'close up' photographs

As these pics are of termite entries , and termites are from the ant family I decided to pair them with the music of Adam and the Ants .....

Adam and the Ants - Ant Invasion

This nest is alongside the canal and is in beach type sand

The next two are in clay beds and it is easy to see how the hole is far more consistent than the sandy one.

Pretty sizable ants these with a nasty stinging bite

vidio good and the Photo a very beautiful. I enjoy it. thankyou

LOL! Teeny bit of a stretch, but I appreciate any excuse to listen to Adam Ant, so...😊

Great captures too. Funny - I was definitely not a fan of bugs until I started photographing them. Okay, still not really a fan... 😂

Hi Traci .... I confess to lacking energy for Steemit at present. I just try and keep active...enough. Will improve the quality soon......I hope.

I was just talking to someone else who said, essentially, that they'd lost their Steemit mojo too. I've experienced the same thing on my WordPress blog (and other social media). My advice (which is worth what you paid for it...lol) is not to worry. Keep doing what you're doing, and some day soon, I bet the spark will be back. Hmm, maybe I should create a new hash tag game for mojo loss.... 😂

Very good work my friends, and good luck my best friends @themagus

Oooh, you're back! I must have last looked about 6 days ago, and now there are 4 new posts that I luckily found in time. I hadn't heard this Ant song. Great to see you've had some rain.

Howdy Debs {friendly wave} .... battling to do anything of quality. Had a disjointed rant about millennials just now... will probably get lots of stick... but probably not as nobody reads the stuff...{sulk...head droops} .. What's up with you and @sift666? All good I hope....

Yeah, we're keeping busy. Too busy some days. Tax time... :-(
But making an effort to post some NZ music every day for NZ music month. Others are too, so check out the #teamnz tag.
I read your "rant" this morning but only just had time to go and make a (brief) comment now.

Ants have become a real disaster on my site. They actively destroyed wooden buildings in this way. So like ant burrows is very familiar to me. It really was like invasion.

Ouch, sorry to hear that Anna-Mi .... they are a pest but I assume they play their part in natures balance.
