I just wanted to share a few articles that I have found interesting and also share some news about one of the most important protocols out there for passive income, that is, StrongBlock.
StrongBlock has been around for more than 16 months and they are closing up on 500,000 active nodes. Last night, they finally upgraded the platform which means that they will no longer give out rewards in the STRONG token, but the STRNGR token. This will make it easier to hand out rewards, considering that the rewards pool with STRONG was very limited and at times, it even turned out to be empty. That isn't hard to understand considering that the total supply of STRONG tokens only was around 520,000 tokens.
Of course, the current circulating STRNGR supply is the same, but still, it is way easier to make things go around with the current settings and the new token. In addition, they have lots of tokens that can be used for the future StrongChain and to create new projects, finance marketing, and other stuff that is planned. We will also get a marketplace and new chains launched later, but I have a feeling that we might have to wait until StrongChain is launched for that to happen.
Another great article that I recommend reading is the article dealing with Hector Finance and its future. I do believe that Hector Finance might be a great bet for the future. The content of that article is based on the results of the last rebase token experiment report. What is interesting is that Hector Finance actually had a little drawback in value in the last seven days, but still, they have had 4-5 weeks in a row producing somewhat positive results and it seems as if the protocol has finally stabilized itself in a very positive way.
The entire rebase token concept is under heavy change, and the best performer in the last seven days, MagnetDAO, is actually moving away from it all in all. In other words, they will stop with their staking rewards and rather move to a model in which you earn veMAG by staking MAG tokens. How will this work? If you unstake your MAG tokens, will you then lose your veMAG rewards? What will be the benefit of staking MAG for veMAG?
No matter what, it will be interesting to see how this will progress in the future as well!
