Mahabaleshwar is called as green city of Maharashtra. It is wonderland of Maharashtra.
Main route for Mahabaleshwar:
1. By road - Mahabaleshwar is about 260 km from Mumbai. It is about 120 km from Pune and the nearest major city is Satara around 45 km.
2. By rail - The nearest railway station is Satara. It is around 60 km from Mahabaleshwar. From pune it is about 120 km and from Miraj it is about 170 km.
3. By Airway - It is about 120 km from Pune and 270 km from Mumbai.

There are many hotels as well as rest house for tourism. It is available from 2 star to 5 star. Ishwar Inn resort which is 2 star, Hotel Dream Land, Hotel Gautam which is 3 star, Ramsukh resort which is 4 star and Hotel Ever Shine which is 5 star
Places of attraction for tourism :
1. Krishnabai Temple - This temple has a Shiva lingam and a statue of Krishna. Krishna river is also situated here. Stone carved columns and ceiling are special characters of this temple. The old temple has a moss and a ruins. This place is somewhat unknown to tourists.
2. Monkey Point - Because of the natural scripture which looks like three monkeys sitting besides each other and portaying this three monkeys of Gandhiji.
3. Arther Point - The name Sir Arther Malet is the officer who sat here and gazed at the Savitri river where he lost his wife and three children.
4. Pratapgad - Pratapgad is build by King Shivaji. This fort is near Mahabaleshwar. This fort is popular for history in India as the commander of Bijapur Afzalkhan was defeated and killed by King Shivaji.
5. Lingmala Waterfalls - It is near Mahabaleshwar. The water here falls from approximately 600 feets. So many tourist visit this place and enjoy their holidays.
Other attraction for tourists:
If you are a pure vegetarian then don't forgot to visit view restaurant and if you are a pure non- vegetarian then visit the most popular hotel Poonam. There is also Maharashtrian most special dish Hirakani's. Don't forget to leave Mahabaleshwar without eating batata vada which is sold outside the Mahabaleshwar temple.
