Today is the day: MaidSafe just launched first alpha release for general public. What? You haven't tried that yet?

Decade of work came to alpha version

Yesterday I wrote about Maidsafe and about how latest testnet version looks and today, quite surprisingly Alpha release was just announced. If you never heard about MaidSafe and SAFEnet it's simply project for decentralized and anonymous internet and data storage for everyone.

What does Alpha release mean and what it brings?

  • version is meant for general public (although still alpha)
  • installers for Linux, Windows and OSX. For Linux deb and rpm Linux packages available
  • supported platforms : Windows, Mac, Linux and also ARM-based devices including Raspberry Pi

      I never give any investment advice but MaidSafe project is one of best (if not the best) software project I've ever seen. I hope it will become Internet 2.0 !
