Mainframe is About More Than Blockchain Messaging

With their latest creation brothers, Mick and Brad Hagen, seek to create an unstoppable decentralized messaging system on the blockchain that will be free of censorship and governance.
Total freedom of speech is their rallying cry. But of course, we all know what that means. In reality, their creation will be used for evil. They are building Dark Web 2.0. A safe place for evil people to do their evil things away from prying eyes.

Once upon a time, maybe 20 years ago, some kids decided to download mp3s illegally and it worked. Then someone decided to download movies illegally and that worked too. This was the foundation on which the new world was built. Next came software piracy and identity theft. The internet makes it easy to divorce a person's actions from the consequences of their actions. Fast forward to now.

Musical artists still make millions, so do movie stars, and if you don't want me to steal Photoshop then don't make it so expensive. Identity theft? The bank will pay you back. No harm no foul. No consequences. So what if rich people lose a little money? They're still rich, and banks deserve it. This is the thinking behind the new world. Little by little evil snuck into our lives until it became widely accepted. But then..

It turned out that actions do have consequences. Raising prices on pharmaceuticals hurts people that can't afford them. Stealing someone's home leaves them homeless. Polluting land, sea, and air, for more profits destroys the planet. And creating a dark web where people will be able to buy and sell guns, drugs, and children, will have an impact on all the lives it touches.

The loss of freedom in America began with the Patriot Act in 2001, passed by Republican President George W. Bush and continued by his successor Democratic President Barack Obama. At first, The Patriot Act was used to surveil suspected terrorists, then it was used for advertising. Today it's used to suppress and manipulate us into obedience. It was a slow unnoticed crawl to evil just like everything else. Mainframe seeks to return our lost freedom by creating an uncensored messenger and email dapp, but a simpler, and less evil, option would be to just repeal the Patriot Act. No dark features necessary. You can read more about Mainframe and its FCO, free coin offering, on their official website at Mainframe.com

However, while repealing the Patriot Act will work in the USA it won't work everywhere. America is not the only nation facing a loss of freedom. It's happening all over the planet. If it hasn't happened in your part of the world, it will soon. So is Mainframe correct? Is the solution fighting fire with fire? Fighting evil with evil? Should we open the gates to Dark Web 2.0 in order to save ourselves? Or can good overcome evil on its own?

The Koch Brothers, ages 77, and 82 could die in the next 10 years before accomplishing their goal of world domination. The Republican party could be swept from office in Congress and the Senate in the next two elections, and Oprah could save us all. The Millenials could turn 30 and realize that all actions have consequences and suddenly turn away from their irresponsible ways. Or Jesus could show up and kill all the bad people. It's possible.

But what I think is more realistic is that we will continue down our path to evil until we all die together. This is why I think Mainframe will do well in the crypto space. Good people will be drawn to it and use it to fight for their freedoms and bad people will be drawn to it like dark moths to a black light so they can continue their evil ways. Both of these things spell one thing. Mass adoption. Mainframe will become the new battleground between good and evil, and battlegrounds are full of people. Their project, and stock, should do very well, even if it's not the correct thing to build at this time. It's better if Pandora's Box remains closed because there's too much to lose by opening it.

How will I use Mainframe? For good of course. When I'm not here typing stuff I'm out on the front lines fighting for the Dreamers, Women's Rights, Organic Food, and almost every good cause you can imagine. I'm an activist. So are many of you. You'll use it too. To organize and plan, to coordinate protests and boycotts with others, and many other wonderful things. Mainframe isn't as easy to use as Twitter or Facebook, but those platforms are slowly being compromised as we speak. Mainframe is decentralized, which means no one can ban certain groups or photos that are deemed offensive and not conforming to TOS. Are breastfeeding moms okay with you? When was the last time you saw one on Facebook or Twitter? Do you believe Chinese students should be heard?
