Maintenance on Tower, and hivemind.emrebeyler.me

in maintenance •  5 years ago  (edited)

Due to some unexpected failures, my Hivemind instance and Tower instance will be down for a while.

I expect all services will be up again in half an hour. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll update the post once everything is up and running.

Edit: All systems up and running, again. Hive is synced to HEAD.

Good to know!

Been looking at getting my own Hivemind instance up and running for my project.

What would be the easiest way to get it running? I've got some hardware running Fedora 30 w/ 16GB RAM and a 1Tb SSD.

Thoughts?

This hardware should be more than enough :)

To get a Hivemind instance up pretty quickly, you can use my daily snapshots:

These steps require a little bit PostgreSQL/server management knowledge.

Very helpful! I know a little bit about PostgreSQL -- so hopefully I don't bump into issues. Thanks for this!

EDIT / Sidenote: Good to see that you use DigitalOcean for your Hives. I've got a droplet running my EXHAUST project. Hoping that Hivemind will let me expand / rebuild some of the fucntionality that died when some api changes happened. Running everything off of @holger80's beem library up until now.
