Sunburst Blankets I've made recently

in make-orbake •  7 years ago

I showed how I was making a 12 point Sunburst blanket for my friend Here - well, I abandoned those (don't worry, I didn't unpick them, they're in my 'to do' box) and I started (and finished) three more!

This is for Trev's mum - she loves it!

This is for my friend's step-daughter. I hope she likes it, I made it using her favourite colours (and a little advice from Mia

Then this is the one I've just finished.

As it happens

The finished article

I'm so pleased with how effective these snuggle blankets look. Now I have to make one for my friend - which, if you remember, was the first thing I started...

I love the colours in the second and third pictures - that's my favourite but they are all nice :)

Thank you! I like them all too. I've spotted a beautiful colour-way on Pinterest. I've just got to figure it out now :) (And buy the yarn).

I love the second one best - my kind of bright colours. You're so clever!

Thank you... I'm not that clever though... Youtube is awesome for tutorials ;)

They looks amazing!

Handmade gifts are the best, lovely work. When I see your posts like this I think I want to start with something along these lines but never seem to take the time. So fun to do!

Thank you! Yes, I do enjoy creating these. I've spotted a pattern I want to try but it means buying more yarn and I've just bought a load... :D

Oh, man. My hands hurt so much just from seeing those...

I'm lucky :) My hands are reasonably ok (they ache when the weather changes and they crack and pop alarmingly) but otherwise, not too bad.

I dunno. I am just not sure that those umbrellas will be any good at keeping the rain off?

It's a good job you're pretty... ;)

Hehe, I knows!! :0D

These starburst blankets are so pretty. I love the colours you used especially the ones in Trev's mom's blanket. This pattern must work up quickly, you have done three complete blankets in a very short time.

They do work up fast, I have to admit... apart from when I decide to have a go at something else... LOL

These are really great... And very well made. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for voting... oh... you didn't.

great work. I like that you are giving time to such a creative work that brings practical benefit. A great variety of colors creates harmony. I even introduced some places in my house where it looked great :)

Thank you. I find they are easy to do while sitting watching television - especially when they get bigger, so there's no need for a colour change :)

thats some real hard work. I remember my mother used to make them when we were kids and with schedules getting tighter and eyes getting weaker it all became thing of past.

It goes in cycles for me too. Sometimes there are so many other things I'd rather be doing... other times, it's all I want to do :)

Aw cool these are awesome :) it’s so great seeing people keeping creativity alive! 😀

Thank you. I'm not as creative as my daughter, @danielles - she really is talented!

Thanks I will look at her page!:)

It seems lovely.
It needs a lot of time and dedication.
Love it alot.
I Appreciate your work.
It really deserve Upvote!

Thank you.
