My Knives #14 Bowie Fighter

in maker •  6 years ago

Hello dear Stemians,

after a long long time, your favourite Doc is back with new beauty from the knifeshop.

This little beauty was a long time coming. I've started working on it in March, of course, it was not the only project I was working on but it's still way too long from start to finish.

She's been lurking in my shop trying to get my attention for months, you should have seen the smile on her face when she realized it's finally her turn.

Yeah, yeah, I'm overdoing it with this knives are girls. So what? They are my girls and I love them and they love me - so just stuff it!

Well, she's finally done so it's time to present her to the public. First the stats, then the progress pics and a gallery with a couple of nicer ones at the end.

semplicemente fantastico! Elegante e le forme sono belle. Il manico lo hai lavorato tutto a mano? Piccola cosa... il pin lo avrei messo più centrale.
Ancora complimenti, un saluto

Thank you Nicola.
I did the handle on the grinder with the big wheel and the small wheel and have finished all by hand.
The pin - heh, yes it would have looked a bit better if it was more centred but the tang was curved that way - see the pic

So I didn't really have a lot of room to play with.

Again, thank you so much for the praise, it really is appreciated ;)

The pin - heh, yes it would have looked a bit better...

Si, vero. Forse hai tolto 1 mm di troppo nella parte superiore del manico e della guardia. Nelle foto con il manico grezzo mi sembra più centrale al tutto.

Grazie a te che condividi la tua esperienza. un saluto, nicola
