All Steemians are EQUAL, but why are some Steemians made to feel less equal than others?

The recent price of Steem has undoubtedly created a greater gap between the minnows and the whales in terms of the distribution of wealth, but I believe that the recent influx of new registrations indicates that there is still plenty of room for the community to grow because we need all different types of people (not just investors and the creatives) to sustain the population and economic boom that cryptocurrency 2.0 will bring.

Look at people like @mudcat36 and how he is spreading the word of steemit not just by writing posts but travelling around to meet other steemians and introducing it to new people, or @davemccoy who has managed to gather a large following by helping new steemians (even though he is also very new here). I think it shows that there is a path for each of us here on Steemit, and it is important for each of us to find the path that suits us (or create a new path). Just like in the outside world we shouldn't measure our worth or progress by comparing ourselves to other people because those are not the values (wealth, 'success', reputation, etc.) that defines us as individuals.

We are all EQUAL here on Steemit - no amount of SP or SBD can change that fact. Everyone has the potential to impact others here positively or negatively, from the smallest act of kindness in person or simply a comment on a post that deserves more views.

We are all INTELLIGENT here on Steemit - and I mean intelligence in the sense that we all have different ability to learn and apply our skills here. Whether you are an artist, scientist, engineer, entrepreneur, mother, brother or a citizen of the world, your life experience and the story that you weave into the blockchain makes a difference to other people in ways that you can't always imagine.

I don't believe anyone here has the power to make you feel less equal than others here on Steemit. No amount of SP or SBD can make you a better or worse person than someone else because we are all EQUAL. Let your intelligence and star shine brightly on Steemit, the sky is big and high enough here for everyone to see.

This is a great post @plushzilla. I’m glad to meet people like you and @davemccoy on Steemit. It’s a great community for individuals to shine in their own special way. Minnows, whales, dolphins are just another class system. We all have a part in shaping this platform and it is the stories, experiences, and creativity we share that will “weave” this blockchain into something great.

Yes we are all equal, but we should have a growth mindset, it is the crux of development, I have seen people give up in just few weeks, because they were not earning, but they didn't see the bigger picture, Your network is your net worth. The first few months are for creating a following, interact with everyone, no one can just walk in and become a whale.

Very true. I also hope that whales can also see the bigger picture and use their powers to help grow the platform rather than just trying to hold onto their power and limiting the potential of others to flourish on steemit...

@plushzilla, great look into Steemit subject. And also agree, we should look into bigger picture since this place here is great, bursting with energy. Also, I must admit, still I am confused who are the whales since I am not into hunt for them but I see from time to time someone is talking about them. I believe they are important as much we give them that importance..

I can't agree more with you, steemit is a platform that have different types of people with different goals and concepts of success. Not all of us are defining it by some numbers

We are equal and intelligent and have the potential to be successful in our own individual visions

I'll check the two steemians you mentioned too. Thank you
