I was thinking about my creative process on Steemit and where the ideas come from, and interestingly enough the water cycle came to mind (perhaps it had a lot to do with the word STEAM/STEEM).
In fact, STEEMIT acts like an ocean of inspiration/resources that is formed by the collective output of all users, and when some of those posts are triggering ideas in your head it causes you to UPVOTE it.
Also, when you RESTEEM or FOLLOW it concentrates content to your FEED so that you can tap into a specific vein of ideas from the vast ocean of posts on steemit, and it also adds to the collection of content on your BLOG.
At last, when that gem of an idea finally materializes in your mind, it becomes a POST or COMMENT that you then contribute back to the collective pool of content. Thus the cycle is complete!
I hope this convinces you of the value in upvoting and commenting as much and often as you can, as it is helping to restore and contribute value into Steemit, rather than taking it out of the system, which will eventually deplete this precious and valuable resource that we all share.
An interesting analogy for Steemit. A lot of my ideas stem from community engagement and debates, many of these on steemit or within associated platforms linked to steemit. I think my problem is deciding which to form into a blog/post as sometimes the sheer number of ideas overwhelm me lol..

Inspiration is well... wherever you can get it from :D I feel like there has to be a better way of distilling information from the great ocean of steem posts, so I am looking for some ideas for a solution too :)
What does community engagement mean for you, and what other associated platforms linked to steemit do you use? I assume you are already on Discord and are involved in a few groups/teams?

Steemit.chat/discord are the main two. I use Discord more now but hope that the associated steem apps will become better overtime. I'm on @thesteemengine which was my first real introduction into the community aspect of steem and now I am part of Team Australia which is nice because they are awake at the same time as me lol...
As for what does community engagement mean to me? Basically getting to know each other on a deeper level, working together as a team to aid and help each other. I think its nice to have some steemians to grow with that are dealing with the same challenges , to quote another steemian, your own "Wolfpack" They were insinuating to bring your own but sometimes thats easier said than done. So why not use the communities built to start one.

Yes, I have seen you around on Discord but I have to say there are plenty of people in teamaustralia not on Australian timezones :p I am hoping that there will be more face-fo-face interactions as steemit grows in Australia, but so far most of my interactions have been with people overseas so I hope to change that soon :)

Very true, one of my fav's is currently living in Finland lol... I know of two that are from Perth now so that's growing. My hubby who is not overly social would love to meet other people that use steemit. It's funny seeing him comment away on here and discord (mainly @thesteemengine currently) but have a 100 unanswered messages on his phone.

Just read your introduceyourself post and it is a rather interesting story (probably because I have never even been to the hospital for anything :p). I am encouraging people who are now more familiar with the platform to write a #hellosteemit post rather than the introduceyourself post so we can find interesting connections and interact in both the physical and digital world. Hope to catch you sometime on Discord as well (or if I happen to be in Perth) :)

I'll check out the #hellosteemit. I would love to meet others with my condition, I know of one in Team Australia, that's how I found the discord channel, they found me.
I have many followers on other platforms but have had some self doubts of late that have made me avoid that part of my life for a period. Plus Steemit is so addictive!
