It feels so good to participate in this week's learning challenge. Having gone through the course, I present my homework.

Did you know that there are so many shades of concealer for the skin? In addition to those mentioned, what other shades exist and what use is given to each of them.

Yes, they are a lot of shades which could be confusing. It is very pertinent that we know them and their uses.

  • Purple Concealer; used to brighten dull yellow undertone
  • Red Concealer; used to cover stubborn red dark circles
  • Orange Concealer; ideal to cover dark circles and bruises
  • Peach Concealer; it covers dark circles and brightens fair skin
  • Yellow Concealer; it checkmates discoloration under the eyes and inner corners

Did you have all the necessary products to carry out this practice or did you have to buy new ones or settle for others that had a similar function?

No, though I have most of them. My only challenge was the brushes. I used the powder brush to contour by spreading the brushes to be shaped like the contour brush. I used a darker shade of powder to contour instead of using a concealer. I plan to purchase the products soon.

They say that the quality of the makeup makes a noticeable difference in the results obtained when comparing a makeup in which replicas or cheap products have been used and another in which original products have been used; what is your opinion?

I totally agree with this. For a good makeup, I strongly recommend the use of quality products. Some people prefer to use cheaper products but tend to misplace the priority of using quality makeup products.

I have seen someone who used cheap makeup products and the makeup did not look good. Not just that, it did not last long. She felt very bad about it because the makeup wore out before she was done with her event.

The use of quality makeup products cannot be overemphasized when we think of the potential damage to our skin caused by using poor products. I encourage ladies to go for quality products for a better outcome.

For this answer you must show us your skin makeup step by step in the way you like and tell us about your experience in this first practical class; also, add a sign with your username and date on at least one selfie with your final result. 07 points

SKIN PREPARATION

Skin preparation is very essential in makeup. It lays the foundation for makeup application. Skin preparation is often neglected by some people. It should be taken seriously in order not to cause problems when applying makeup.

Of course, there are varieties of skin preparation products. One should choose one that is most appropriate for him and can afford.

I do not have so many skin preparation products. My skin preparation routine is very simple. I make use of face wipes and primer.

I use a good face wipe to remove dirt and oil from my skin. I then use a good primer to help create a smooth surface area and keeps the makeup in place.

The next thing is to apply a colour corrector to any part of the face that needs to be concealed. Looking at my face, I do not have any blemishes so I would move on to the next step.

MAKEUP APPLICATION

APPLICATION OF FOUNDATION
I applied the foundation in a dotted pattern on my face and used a beauty blender to blend it in.

HIGHLIGHTING
I highlighted the T- zone area and blended evenly with a shade of concealer that is two shades lighter than my skin tone as shown in the video 👇

CONTOURING

I contoured the sides of my nose and under my cheekbones with a powder that is one shade darker than my skin tone.

EYE BROWS
After that, I drew my eyebrows.

FINAL RESULT
I sealed the makeup with powder. I then used a lip liner and lip gloss to give the makeup a finishing touch. After which I added setting spray.

My experience during this first practical class

It was fun carrying out this practical though I did not not have all the products. I was able to do something with the products I had.

I want to thank @almacaridad for this wonderful course. I can not wait for the next course.

I am inviting @alysaa, @goodybest and @mercybliss to participate.
