SLC-S21W4 | A correct eyebrow and lip makeup

It's nice to back again this week. This week's course is interesting. I think most ladies would find it helpful.

Makeup implements and products

Identify your eyebrow type and apply makeup according to its shape, creating a gradient at the beginning of them. Also, show and explain if you used shadows, pomades or any of the existing products to apply makeup.

Products and Implements used for eyebrow;

• Eye Pencil
• Cat's tongue brush (concealer brush)
• Spoolie brush

My eyebrow is soft angled - low arch shaped. This means that the highest part of my brow is neither sharp angled or round. My eyebrow is balanced.

I first started by using my spoolie brush to keep my brows tidy and in place.

Then, I identify the starting point, highest point and the end of my eyebrow. I go on to use my eye pencil to draw the lower lines of each eye brows starting just past the bridge of my nose. I made sure I drew the line to fit my eyebrow.

I drew the upper line of my eyebrows leaving a little space at the beginning to make it look natural.

I began to fill the brows where necessary. I concealed the lower part of my brows using the cat's tongue brush and blended it. After which I brushed my brows with my spoolie brush to give it a more natural look and achieve a good blending.

Shows the before, during and after of your lip makeup; performing the process of outlining them to perfect their shape. In addition, it investigates and explains what your lip type is and what is the correct way to make up and outline them whether they are droopy, thin, thick, asymmetrical, among others.

For my lip makeup, I used;

• Lip liner
• Gloss lipstick
• Nude lipgloss
• Lip brush

Lip makeup implements and products

Before lip makeup

I went ahead to outline my lips by gliding my lip liner along my natural lip line. I made the lines thin at first to get the lines. I eventually made the lines thick enough to define the shape of my lips.

I applied my nude lipgloss to hydrate the lips and blended it with the lip brush.

I proceeded to add the gloss lipstick, spread it with my lip brush and rubbed my lips together to blend it.

I applied lipgloss to my lips again to make my lips appear full and give it a slick shining finish.

I have thick lips. The best way to outline my lips is to use a darker shade to outline my lips and a lighter shade for the center of my lips.

After a while, our makeup products may expire or become unfit for use; research and explain what characteristics to take into account to know when we should throw away these products to avoid future consequences.

Apart from not working effectively, expired makeup products cause irritations like breakouts, bacterial infection, fungal infection, rashes , clogged pores and allergies. It is important to know the characteristics of expired products so we avoid them. They include;

• Change in colour ( change in eyeshadow)
• Change in texture(examples, clumping of liquid foundation and dryness in mascara)
• Change in smell
• Skin irritation like redness and itching
