SLC-S21W6 | Night Makeup

Hello my dear friends! This marks our last makeup course for this season. It has been six incredible weeks. I am so happy I was able to participate in all the courses. Of course, I enjoyed every bit of it.

I never knew that the time of the day determines the nature of our makeup. I was puzzled when I saw last week's course - Day Makeup. Now, this week we are into Night Makeup.

Apply makeup to your eyebrows according to what you learned in the previous modules, looking for a neat and defined result; also, perform the “smokey eyes” shading technique and show the process and result.

I outlined the lower and upper parts of my eyebrows with my eye pencil. I drew the lower line starting just past the bridge of my nose. For the upper lines, I left a little space at the beginning to make the eye brow look more natural. I made sure to outline my brows to fit the shape of my brows.

I filled the necessary spaces with my brown eye pencil. I concealed both the lower and upper part of my brows using a cat's tongue brush and blended it. I used a spoolie or eyelash brush to brush my brows to give it a more natural look and achieve a good blending.

I have never tried the 'smokey eyes' technique before. I tried my best using the knowledge I got from this class. There's a first time for everything right?

After applying concealer and ensuring it is blended properly, I applied a black shade of eyeshadow to my mobile lid.

Then, I applied a lighter shade (in this case, brown) above the black shade.

I blended the two shades to create a gradient without touching the eye brows.

I proceeded to outline my eyes - the upper and lower parts with a black eye liner. I applied mascara to give my eyelashes volume and to enhance my look.

Do a skin makeup for the night, in which you achieve good coverage on the face, and also mattify your skin; you must illuminate the areas that were explained in the class. Also, make up your lips defining them as best as possible; you are free to use soft (nude) or strong tones according to your taste.

For foundation, I applied my shade of foundation. I blended it and ensured full coverage with the help of my beauty blender.

I highlighted the bridge of my nose, area under my brow bone, under my eyes and chin. All these to ensure my face is illuminated at night. I sealed my makeup with a compact powder that is the same shade of my skin tone.

For my lips, I applied lip balm to moisturise my lips. I went ahead to line my lips. I made the lines thin at first to get the shape. I eventually made the lines thick enough to define the shape of my lips.

I added a nude lipgloss to my lips. I chose nude because I wanted to create a contrast with the shade of my eyes. My eyes seem dark so I felt it is best to make the lips plain.

Tell us about your experience throughout the modules; what was the most difficult part to do and what you liked and enjoyed the most during these weeks of continuous learning.

I have really enjoyed the course modules. I must really commend @almacaridad for the way she organised the class. She organised it in such a way that even beginner's like me can follow along.

Right from helping us identify makeup implements and products, to knowing how to apply makeup correctly on our skin, to the practical class that helped us to apply our eye makeup and do a complete makeup, I have benefited greatly.

I really enjoyed the practical class. It helped me to practice what I have learnt. The most difficult part was the eye makeup. I found it difficult to line my eyes. The eye is very sensitive, so it takes a lot to line my eyes. I think I have gotten used to it. I am not perfect yet, but with consistent practice, I will get it.

In all, these past six weeks have been amazing. I was able to get to know other Steemians through this course. Special thanks to #steemit for creating a wonderful avenue to learn.

I am looking forward to the next learning challenge season. I can not wait to see what nice courses awaits us. Thank you @almacaridad once again.
