I'm in quite a "blah" mood today. We have some big changes going on in our household right now and it's starting to scare the pants off of me. I think I'm just stressing over the unknown right now and while trying to stay strong for the hubs and Caleb, it's proving to be more difficult than I expected. But, that's all for a "ramble" post, today we are talking Boxy Charm June 2018. I can't wait to share with you what I received.
Caribbean Queen was the theme this month for Boxy Charm. We got 6 items, 5 full sized and one deluxe sample size.
I really enjoyed this month's box. I like almost all of the products, but did have one dud product to show you. So let's go...
Let's start out with the eye shadow pallet. This was some fantastic-ly pigmented shadows. This is called the Alamar Reina Del Caribe Pallet. It retails for $28 US dollars. This is a gorgeous full size pallet filled with 4 mattes and 4 shimmers. I am going to show you in an upcoming post a couple ways I used this little pallet, so be on the lookout.
Next up is the Luxie 3 Piece Flawless Complextion brush set. It retails for $42 US dollars. The set comes with three synthetic bristled brushes. One for foundation, one for highlight and one for blush. I like the precision of these brushes and I have used many, many Luxie brand brushes so I will vouch for their quality as well.
Moving right along to the only non-full size product. It's the Sol de Janerio Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. This little pot is a 25ML and retails for $10 US dollars. The full size is 240ML and retails for $45 US dollars. And no it does not help with cellulite. Sorry. BUT it smells absolutely beautiful and the scent lingers on your skin all day long. You don't need a perfume with this cream because it lasts so long. The smell is pretty stout though, so if you are sensitive to fragrances, then beware. But for you who love people to smell you from across the room then this is the stuff for you. As far as the product goes, I do enjoy using it. I think it sinks into the skin nicely, especially for as thick as it is. While it says to "tighten" up the skin, well that's not happening from the jar I got. But it's moisturizing and most importantly, the smell is where it's at for me.
Item number 4 is the Jonteblu Waterproof Eyeliner. This retails for $5 US dollars. Mine is a very dark grey color. While I like to have other eyeliners to use other than the typical black or brown, I was disappointed with this liner. It didn't work in my water line at all. This was a dud for me.
Item 5 is the one I was the most excited for!! It's the Battington Monroe Silk Lashes. I have never used silk lashes before and I was so stoked to see what they would be like. To be frank, I don't spend a lot of money on false lashes. I don't wear them but maybe once a month and I am terrible at taking care of them so the cheapies are what I go for. So to get a high quality pair was super exciting for me. They retail for $28 US dollars.....waaayy more than the $4.96 I pay for my lashes. LOL These were beautiful looking and oh so soft. But, my eyes are very hooded and small from side to side. So I was cutting them down on each side of the band so they fit, but then the lashes were so long that they were rubbing my brow bone the entire time I wore them. I suppose I could have cut the actual lashes themselves but I didn't do that. Instead I went all throughout the day with a constant shade screen over my eyes. LOL But they are so beautiful still, even if they were uncomfortable for me. I think I'd wear them again just because they looked so gorgeous.
Last item is the Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Verona. This retails for $21 US dollars and i really think these are worth every penny. They are incredibly long lasting and they aren't the harsh uncomfortable like most liquid lipsticks. Now, please know that there is some dryness feeling, you don't get staying power like that without it. But is so little compared to others. I love, love, love these liquid lipsticks!!
There's my June Boxy Charm contents. The total of my box comes out to $134 US dollars, and I only pay $21. I don't think this month was too shabby, if I do say so myself. I really enjoyed this month and as always, I can't wait to see what next month brings!!
If Boxy Charm is something you would like to check out, you may use my link, but there's no pressure to use it either, it's just there if you want to. I don't receive money for anyone signing up, just points towards boxes if they do.
That's all I have for today. Thank you for stopping by and visiting, I hope you will come back again soon. Until next time, take care.
