Normally I would start with an eye makeup tutorial but today is all about the lips and applying lipstick.
Applying lipsticks that suits your natural lip color is usually the easiest to apply but once the contrast of the lipstick is higher than your natural lip color, it can get difficult to get a nice lip. This is when lip liners come handy.
Lipstick as well as lip liners comes in 100's of various colors. So you always can pick the right lip liner shade for any lipstick you want to apply. Of course, if you want to create an Ombre lip then go for a darker lip liner and a lighter lipstick.
Let’s start:
Step 1: Cancel out.
Putting on lipstick is normally the last step of your makeup application so you might already have some foundation on your lips. I personally don’t mind having it on my lips because then I have an even canvas.
You don’t have to do this step but if you have an uneven lip shape, applying foundation or concealer to your lips will cancel out your natural lip color and you can shape a beautiful lip shape yourself.
Blending the foundation or concealer in with a brush or damp sponge will give you an even application.
Step 2: Cross.
Start off with the lip liner at first and create a small cross between the cupid’s bow of your lips. Try to keep the cross as even as possible.
Step 3: Cupid’s Bow.
Now you can enhance your natural cupid’s bow shape by extending the line a bit more to create a balanced-out cupid’s bow. If you have an uneven cupid’s bow, now is the time where you can over or underdraw it depending of the shape. Do not overdo it too much!
We don’t want to create a Drag Queen inspired lip!
Step 4: Upper Corners.
To get a beautiful lip by the end of this tutorial, you need to do each step before you’re filling it in with lipstick.
Create beautiful upper lip corners at first. This step is so important if your upper lip corners are stopping too early to even out your natural lip shape. Now is the time to extend them if you need to.
Step 5: Connect.
Connecting the outer corners form the upper lip to the cupid’s bow already gives you a guide of how you should draw the line.
In my case, one of the sides is a bit rounder than the other. I personally prefer it a bit straighter so I match that side to the side that I like to make them look even.
Because of cancelling out the natural lip color, it makes it possible to create a whole new lip shape.
Step 6: Bottom.
I just wanted to write "moving on to the bottom lash line" because I’m so used to writing eye makeup tutorials. haha….
Now moving on to the bottom lip, create a short line in the middle of your bottom lip but only on the lip border.
Step 7: Corners Again.
Now you can match up the bottom corners with the upper corners so that both lips have the same length.
Step 8: Connect Again.
Connect the corners again with the mid line of the lower lip. This is the time where you can balance out any uneven lip side.
Make sure that the corners are matching up with eachother so that both the top and bottom lip are even in length.
Step 9: Lip Lines.
On the top as well as on the bottom lip, you can add lines to make it look even. Apply the lip liner lines to the main lip lines on your natural lip.
Step 10: Fill in.
Now it’s time to fill in your lip with a cream lipstick!
Start with your cupid’s bow, go along the sides and then in the middle of your upper lip.
There’s a reason why lipstick have a pointed tip and then go into a larger shape so use that to create a beautiful lip!
And now you can finish the lipstick by applying it onto the bottom part. Keep your lines sharp and clean!
Step 11: Clean up.
If you run over a line or you aren’t happy with an area of the lip. Grab an angled brush and some concealer to clean up any mistakes and make your lip lines sharp and crisp!
So, that’s all I have for you guys! I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial and this is a great way on how you can apply a truly red lipstick as well!
Thank you,
xoxo, Melissa

The main rule of selection is no spontaneity. Approach the process with the utmost care. Your skin health and beauty depend on it. The main criterion for selection is your skin type. Choose products that correspond to your class and no others. All the necessary information is listed on the packaging. It is recommended to choose a suitable care product in online stores, according to the type https://jonteblu.com/products/gift-jonteblu-lip-liner-pencil-nude. This will allow you to read the description and composition of the product without fuss. It's the only way to make a well-considered decision and to understand what to buy. The last rule of thumb is to study the contents carefully. The more natural products in the cream, the healthier for your skin.
