What is your take away from that claim? Here is mine.

To earn on STEEMIT, through posting and commenting:
Post 1 to 3 or more times per day
Comment many times per day
Comment on posts created by people with a lot of STEEM POWER

I am starting with:
5 POSTS (including this one)
107 FOLLOWING
0.000 STEEM
0.500 STEEMPOWER
(27.528) STEEMPOWER
0.000 STEEM DOLLARS

For the next month I pledge to do the following:
(1) Post 3 times per day, change 50:50 to 100% STEEM
(2) Comment thoughtfully/constructively 3 times per day on posts whose authors have a lot of STEEMPOWER
(3) Interact, through additional comments, with all who respond to my posts and/or comments

My account was approved yesterday (June 13). I started participating today (June 14). I followed @jerrybanfield and everyone he followed as of today June 14). I followed @davincij15 and @vention1mgtow. I followed everyone @craig-grant followed as of today June 14). I followed everyone @trevonjb followed as of today June 14). So, now I am following 107 people. (And wonder of wonders 9 people are following me. Me: no profile beyond a profile name. Amazing.)

That was written and published June 14, 2017. I'll take a look at the numbers on July 14, 2017. Steem on.

Peace and love to the 20 viewers and commenters of the original post!

NOTE:

On the afternoon Of June 23, 2017 I decided to change from 100% STEEM to 50:50. This was triggered by a title of a post from @jerrybanfield. Also, I decide to post OR comment at least 6 times per day. I realized that on sme days I just did not have anything I wanted to post about and forcing it was not likely to yield good content.

So for the rest of this first month (three weeks and a couple days), here is my revised pledge:
For the next month I pledge to do the following:

(1) Allocate posting rewards 50:50 instead of 100% STEEM.
(2) Post about topics and/or comment on posts/comments that I find value in thoughtfully/constructively 6 times per day.
(3) Interact, through additional comments and or upvotes, with all who respond to my posts and/or comments.
(4) Unfollow and/or mute authors whose content I find offensive, distasteful or otherwise not worth my time.

I noticed in my first week that I spent HOURS on STEEMIT, so I will need to be wiser. Maybe one pomodoro of reading/upvoting /commenting plus one pomodoro of actually posting posts that I craft in Google Docs, will be a good guidline. Yes, if I can keep this STEEMITactivity to one hour a day it will be a blessing! (Otherwise, I will have to make a business out of STEEMIT, which might not be a bad idea.)

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

intersting experiment.

Which I cant wait to see how it turns out.

I vowed for 1 post a day at least, I try to make it as quality as I can. I share your sentiments though.

Thank you for sharing @tokar854. I like quality and brevity, relative to the tomes that I have seen published here on STEEMIT! lol. How is you pledge coming along? Have you been able to make at least 1 post per day since you made your vow? Are you part of the challenge that @bitcoinman shared earlier in the comment section? Peace and love.

Yes and yes, still going strong about 6 days. I hope we all keep it up.

We've got this. :)

great post, looking forward to how it turns out

Thank you for your comment @admiralzhao. I was particularly busy today, but I am determined not to go to sleep until I make my 3 posts and 3 comments. lol. Thank you for your good wishes. So far, I am definitely making moeny every day but I have yet to reach the $5 mark. Maybe succes is just a matter of time and persistent engagement. Best wishes to you, to me and to everyone. Peace and love.

How can you tell if someone has a lot of steem power? Other than checking their profile at steemdb.com, which can be tedious.

Hi @drakos. Go to the profile page of any member of the STEEMIT community and click on "Wallet" to see the amount of STEEM, STEEM POWER, STEEM BACKED DOLLARS aka STEEM DOLLARS and ESTIMATED ACCOUNT VALUE. If someone follows me, I FOLLOW them back. If their content, based on a sampling of what they have posted, is NOT pleasant or nurturing to what I am working on, what I am interested in, then I also MUTE them.

Initially, when adding followers, I added them according to what I described in the post above. I am not currently looking for power players to add. I just add those who add me and mute in instances describe above in this comment.

I hope this helps. To see the wallet content of any member just go to their profile page on STEEMIT.com and click "WALLET" and you will see everything laid out in spades.

How the hell did I miss the "Wallet" on people's profiles, I was always reading what's on the left side of the page 🙃

You've got the right plan. I managed to get over 220 followers (quality, hand selected ones I simply introduced myself too via their own introduction posts, plus random passers by who opted in on their own via my frequent posts and comments) in less than 72 hours since day zero earlier this week.

Now, can you please elaborate on this one specific goal of yours and why you are doing it? I already know roughly what it means. I'm interested in your goals.

"change 50:50 to 100% STEEM"

Thank you for sharing you experience and for posing your question.

I am delighted to know you followed a similar path and have gained very satisfying results. Keep up the good work @sircork!

Artsy, intellectual, proud--a place in Ireland: Cork. Cool. Your user name and user image remind me of a place I have never been to in Ireland. Thanks for the reminder. Now, getting back down to business:

This is what "change 50:50 to 100% STEEM" means to me and why I want to abide by "change 50:50 to 100% STEEM" for the time being:

STEEM as a token is a collectible; overtime it will go up in value.
STEEM is a currency that cannot, to the best of my newbie knowledge, buy me a material or a service that I need or want. However, having STEEM may increase my credentials in the STEEMIT community. But of course I am not just doing "change 50:50 to 100% STEEM" for the clout. lol.

Perhaps in time I will find material value in STEEM tokens but in the meantime, since I have no plans of spending the tokens in the foreseeable future, stacking STEEM is fine. I have no problem tying STEEM tokens up in STEEM POWER which I understand would take me, in the current scheme of things, 3 months to "liquidate" back into regular, movable, STEEM tokens. I guess STEEM tokens can be exchanged for BTC which I know can be exchanged for BCC, however I think my conversion of national fiat to BTC then to BCC is going to be a faster, less tedious path to take.

There will be some changes rolled out on Monday June 19 and undoubtedly even more changes to come in the future beyond Monday. My statements in this comment are based on my understanding of the current terms of engagement.

Now as far as having my upvotes be weighted in proportion to the amount of STEEMPOWER I have, I don't get it. If that is how it works, great. But I haven't experienced that first hand or noticed any consistent experience in that regard. Clearly, I suppose there may be other factors, along with one's STEEM POWER, that determine the power of one's applause/upvotes.

To-date I have not pursued understanding the factors and how they are related mathematically to equate to the strength of one's upvote. It would be interesting to see the equation but it is not a priority. :)

In summary, leeping earnings in STEEMPOWER, to the degree that I can control that, is a good thing because I cannot spend earnings (I have nothing practical to spend earnings on anyway, so losing that capability is not really a lossfor me.)

I hope I have addressed your request for elaboration on this particular detail "change 50:50 to 100% STEEM" of my post (above).

Have an awesome experience! Peace and love to all.

Well that was way more answer than I expected! I think you have considered all your needs and goals thoroughly and made the right decision for yourself. Gosh I love this place. And "the money" has nothing to do with why I do. :)

All of this exchange is why. And you are exemplary of it all.

SirCork. I've been to the UK, but the ferries to Ireland were closed for bad weather, so I never made it over there. My name comes from a combo of my actual name in real life "Corky" and my decades old video game handle "SirCork" first coined in Everquest back in the 90s ;)

"...you are exemplary of it all." Wow! Thank you for the compliment!

And thank you for bringing me up to speed on the true inspiration of your moniker here on STEEMIT. It is even more interesting than my fantasy. :)

STEEM on!

It's well deserved!

here is the current Sir Cork in Guild Wars 2 (which I play fairly frequently) and in Eve Online (which I login to about once every two years LOL) and the real me, for comparison to my online creations for the games ;) I like to play myself as somebody else in these game worlds :)

Meet Sir Cork ;)

All of your portraits look awesome and wothy of knighthood!

Go forth Sir Cork and do what must be done. May the forces of the universe always align in accordance with your wishes!

I wish for nothing, but health and peace for all. Maybe some wealth here and there for good measure ;) Thanks for the pleasant conversation! :D

...and so it shall be. :)
My pleasure. Thank YOU.

You should do the challenge to help promote steemit you already doing it anyway lol #steemkeepit100

I appreciate your kind and informative remarks. Thank you so much @bitcoinman! Indeed I am challenging myself. I didn't realize there was a formal challenge already set up for me to join. I must look into that. Right now, however, only on the third day, I have to beat the clock. Less than an hour and a half before midnight! Two more posts to go! lol. I am exhausted really but I have to press on. I had a very cushy and comfortable life for the first half so I have to work a little harder now. ;) I don't mind. I feel blessed that I am able to do what needs to be done. Best wishes to you and to all here on STEEMIT. Peace and love.

Good post for you to make money you need determination in life.
