West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has skipped the question about whether Teesta issue was discussed in a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. On Saturday evening, the two leaders held an hour-long closed-door meeting in a hotel in Kolkata.

Indian news agency United News said two leaders met in the important meeting at the Taj Hotel in Alipore. Their courtesy came out to meet the different issues of the two countries.

Mamta Banerjee said, "We have talked a lot about the same relationship, culture and heritage." She said her relations with Sheikh Hasina are very cordial. The boundaries of the two countries have never been able to divide West Bengal and Bangladesh. Rather they are going forward with the same culture and language.

However, if there is any discussion on whether Teesta water treaty has been discussed or not, then avoid it, Mamata Banerjee avoided.

Earlier, on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On Saturday, Kazi Nazrul joined the convocation of University of Asansol in Burdwan, West Bengal, and received Doctor of Literature (D-LIT) degree.
