I have been noticing more and more VR headsets for sale everywhere I look. There was a huge section in Walmart that I saw today, a VR experience for sale in the middle of the mall, and even VR sets for sale at Dick's sporting goods! Big retailers are starting to see the potential in VR and I think that the industry for virtual reality is about to blow up!
Decentraland (MANA) is an amazing project in my opinion because it is the very first VR world that is tied to the Blockchain. Being a digital land owner is something that is probably laughed at by many now, but just wait another year or 2 and then see how many people wish they had some digital land plots in Decentraland.
The auction is almost over and that will burn over 150 million of the 2.8 billion MANA tokens. That should instantly raise the price, and more MANA will be burned through spending within Decentraland when it is fully functional.
While these predictions are totally speculative, I am still going to break down what I expect to see from Decentraland within the next couple of years.
I believe the burning of tokens from the auction along with the press and attention this gets will get the coins well over the 1o to 12 cent mark.
Afterwards once we finally see the development of Decentraland, I wouldn't be surprised at all for the market cap of MANA to cross $1 Billion dollars which would put the price of MANA at about $0.45 purely out of speculation and hype.
Once MANA is fully operational and people can visit a VR casino in Freemont city or go shopping in their favorite clothing street in Fashion Street(hopefully 6 months to a year), I see no reason why the market cap of MANA couldn't reach $5 Billion dollars easily. If people spend and burn some of their MANA and the supply were to drop to 2 billion tokens, that would put the price at about $2.50.
Then when Decentraland is actually taking big pieces out of the countless industries that it could disrupt, such as online gambling/shopping/VR porn/anything else the mind could imagine, the market cap could go wild. I think we will see it at $25 Billion easily one day. I think we could also see the supply eventually get as low as 1 billion tokens. This would put the price at $25.00 per coin. Since they are currently under 10 cents, this means that there is a potential 250x gain in the long term for Decentraland and that is honestly a conservative estimate in my opinion.
Of course they will have to deliver their promises and do it fairly quickly so there isn't much competition, but I have a lot of faith in this project for the long term, and I would definitely recommend you reading up on the project further!

If total crypto market cap for 2018 gets to 1.5-2 trillion, there is a lot of money to go around and it seems reasonable to be spread among many of the alt coins rather then high entry coins like BTC and ETH. Also think 2 may even be low? Housing/Financial crisis in 08 lost upwards of 10 trillion almost instantly..
Have you seen Second Life?
