I would be lying if I said I wasn't a sucker for a good animated movie. Every time the credits start to roll, I'm wishing it were never over. It is what's made me come up with this list of my favorite animated movies of all time.
Pixar has always been my favorite animation studio as they bring out movie after movie that’s just so good and memorable but Disney, Dreamworks, and Illumination have also released some great films. This is my top 5 list in no particular order:

The Lion King
The Lion King has to be my favorite Disney movie. I can't even remember how many times I've watched it. It's a story about a lion cub named Simba who is the rightful heir to his father's throne but is betrayed by his uncle Scar and eventually forced into exile in the wilderness. The lion king is one of the most powerful movies ever made because it's not just about lions and animals, but it also touches on themes like responsibility, betrayal, greed, and finding one's true destiny. And this movie literally brought tears to my eyes when it came out in theaters (pretty sure that was only like 10 years ago).
The Iron Giant
The Iron Giant is a 1999 animated sci-fi film directed by Brad Bird about an alien robot who crash lands on Earth and befriends a young boy. The movie doesn't have much dialogue but the animation and the storyline is so good that it doesn't need any words. This is one of those movies that I just can't help but watch every time it's on.
Wreck-It Ralph
Wreck-It Ralph is a children's movie that follows the story of an arcade game villain who wants to be a hero. After a long day of wrecking buildings, he finds himself in the midst of ditching work to earn his hero credentials. Along the way, he meets up with Vanellope Von Schweetz, who was once just a glitch but now wants to race in her own video game. They team up and go on an adventure to find why their glitches are disappearing while they're out saving the world. I love this Pixar film because it's so sweet and funny but also has an important message about never giving up on your dreams.
Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo is a movie I can watch any time and never get tired of it. It's about a clown fish named Marlin who lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his wife and their clutch of eggs. But after his wife dies, Marlin becomes very overprotective of his son Nemo who gets scooped up by a scuba diver and taken to Sydney, Australia.
Marlin has to take on an epic adventure to get back his kidnapped son from across the world.
I love this movie because it's hilarious and has a lot of heart behind its story. Plus, it has my favorite Pixar character Dory so I have to include it in my list!
Toy Story
Originally released way back in 1995, Toy Story would become a classic. It was the first-ever computer-animated full-length film and it's still one of the best. The story revolves around Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and their friends who are toys living in a child's room. The two heroes find themselves lost amid numerous other toys they don't recognize when Andy leaves for college.
