Summary:
Tamiya Nika is the most beautiful and popular high school girl. She has the right look and fashion style and everybody is surrounding her. But everyone doesn't know that it's super hard for Rika to keep up with her perfect image and her TRUE SELF when she's at home and next to her bestfriend Ninomiya. When she is at home, Nika changes immediately. She's a scary, clumsy, ugly and sloppy girl with a sweatsuit on, messy buns,.. She always lays around playing violent video games or sometimes reading manga.
Everyday, she keeps up with her perfect image as: Well-dressed, beautiful make-up, neat hair and uniform. The only person who knows her true identity is Ninomiya- who is also her bestfriend from primary school.
However, soon a second person finds about about Nika's personalities - someone who has his own On/Off switch, but in reverse! His name is Kamiyama Arata, and he is a recent transfer student. He meets Nika when she is in OFF Mode, and then again at school when she is ON. However Nika can see that he has his little secret. At school, Arata wears thick swirly-eyed glasses and messy hair that make some bullies think he is an otaku. However, at home, he ditches the glasses and is downright gorgeous! He is just the opposite of Nika, but why?
My thoughts and comments about the manga:
1. The art style, of course:
The art is well-drawn in every little small details. I loved how the face expressions are represented and it's really funny how Nika has such hilarious faces throughout the manga. Also, the "on"and "off" mode of hers are clearly dissimilar too!
Rate: 8,5/10
2. The plot:
The plot is the HUGEEEEE plus to this manga. It's interesting and unlike usual shoujo manga stereotypes, the main girl (Tamiya Nika) is confident, frankly and brave. She even helped the ikemen- Arata Kamiyama from danger. If youre a fan of shy, fragile and a little bit "dumb" main heroine, you might not interested in this manga!
The manga is so so hilarious that every single chapters make me laugh of loud (LOL), I also admire how Nika's "on" and "off" mode can be switched immediately like that. She was so "idol-ish" at school and when she came home, Nika became such a "beast". You have to see how Nika, her sister and her mom co-operate to steal the goods from the sale day at the supermarket... They're all scary women but they're having fun and giving us such entertainment :)))))
The male character is a manly, gallant, handsome and cold boy (stereotype). At first, he doesn't like Nika, but as long as he keeps on involving in the situations with her, he started to develop some kind of strange feelings for her. They're a nice couple and I really like seeing them together :'>
I think that's it, I don't want to spoil any longer arrrghhh ;-;
I rate the plot: 1000000/10 <3 Bravo bravoo (((o(*°▽°*)o)))
The message of this manga is: You're the most comfortable when you're yourself!!!
Overall rating: 9,5/10 ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ
See you guys tomorrow with another manga review!
