Minister Fraser was in high spirits as he celebrated Citizenship Week. He praised the work of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration in promoting citizenship and helping new Canadians settle into their new lives. He also thanked all the volunteers who help new Canadians with the adjustment process. Minister Fraser said that Citizenship Week is a time to reflect on the privileges and responsibilities of citizenship, and to reaffirm our commitment to building an inclusive and welcoming society.
