Forgot to post this yesterday, but Sunday I ran in the Twin Cities Medtronic 10-mile race—my longest race ever, and handily beat my goal of finishing in 1:20:00 (an 8:00-mile pace). I actually hung with the 1:15:00 pacer until mile 5 when a hill through me off my pace, and I just could not regain the lost ground.
But still, I'm not going to complain about finishing in 1:16:30 (a 7:39-mile pace) for my first-ever 10-mile race.

Will done! It's a big step up to a marathon from that. Do you feel ready? I've done a couple of halfs. Not feeling quite ready for a full one

I just did my first 1/2, and ran it hard, with a sub 8:00 pace, and felt good afterward. Think if I'm fully rested I should be able to do a full at about a 9:00 pace.
