  • Make sure the person feels, rests and tries to stay calm.
  • Loosen any tight fitting garment.
  • Ask your doctor if you take medicine for chest pain, such as nitroglycerin, for a known heart disease and help you take it.
  • If pain does not go away quickly with rest or within 3 minutes after taking nitroglycerin, seek emergency medical help.
  • If the person is unconscious and does not react, call the local emergency number
