Have you read or started watching the Netflix Tidying Up with Marie Kondo? What do you think?
I get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff we have throughout our home which makes it challenging to clean up and feel good about our home. We rarely have people over as everything is always in a state of influx, so much so that when I do clean up my son asks me who is coming over.
I feel it's important to have a home you can relax in and not look around to see to-do lists before you. So I have been trying to purge my own things, trusting and hoping that the extra space will inspire my boys to do the same. It is "sparking joy" within me though and now that I'm feeling healthy again I'm tackling bigger projects and getting back on track.
So I want to know if you have tips on how to a) what do you start with when getting rid of excess stuff, b) how do you get others in your family to follow suit and c) do you bother trying to sell some of the things or just donate or chuck it?
