2017 An introduction to myself

Happy New Year! I'm Marifa from the Philippines but currently employed in Hong kong for 33 years. I worked six days a week and on Sundays which is normally my day off is voluntary days for me. I am either practicing the choir or having a meeting with the Union of domestic workers. I love music and so I enjoy singing with the choir and playing the guitar at the same time. If I am not practicing with the choir, I am with the union documenting our activities. I also love photography and videos which I also do during my off day although I would say I am still an amateur in this field but I love doing it. Speaking of Union, my colleagues and I are helping the different nationalities of migrant domestic workers in fighting for their rights as a human being and as an employee. We are also fighting against the illegal placement agencies in Hong Kong that were charging excessive fees over the migrant domestic workers.
Poetry is another thing that I have done. I also have published poems and got the Editor's Choice Award twice in the International Society of Poets though by now they seemed to disappear...I love writing.
