Don't know who's been more overwhelmed at this point--this Captain or the Autrison team.

Since last we met (at the end of June), Autrison of Giraudel, Dominica has been awash in acetates, acquisitions, and donations--so much so, the near-daily unboxing of future Upcomers has caused nearly an entire month of delays for Adanson's next weekend party in the Marigot hills. (That, and a 5.0 Mw quake nearby on July 25; inspection checks abound.) At this rate, they'll only clear the February-to-May backlog by sometime in October--early enough in a new school year.

Still, that didn't stop the Fourth of July spectacular from happening last Saturday--16 days late--carried across not only CMC members in the Caribbean and CBS-owned affiliates in the U.S., but also WNBC in New York and WUSA in Washington, D.C. Tomorrow night after eight, they'll pick up from where they left off and move back to what they do best. I say eight, because of the nascent influence of a little Last.fm tool they call ZeroCharts--which serves up weekly stats à la Billboard. (With thanks to u/Connacht_89 at r/LastFM.)

As promised last time, statistics of Adanson's grand-reopening playlist (not including permanent fixtures, requests, or extras):

  • Upcomers:
    • Free: 84
    • Licensed: 84
  • Library (168 / 3,490 = 4.81375%):
    • CariCon: 13 / 267
    • Celebrations (Birthdays): 1 / 10
    • Deep Cuts: 8 / 162
    • Eurovision: 9 / 188
    • Grab-bag: 38 / 788
    • Heatseekers: 1 / 6
    • Hitmakers:
      • Artists: 27 / 580
      • Songs: 26 / 563
    • Sleepytime Selects: 1 / 8
    • Soundtracks: 17 / 359
    • Specials: 1 / 16

Speaking of LFM: In case you were wondering about my off-Adanson activity on the afternoon of June 11, you can thank AnimeNFO, an online station catering to otaku; pity I must reactivate my subscription to edit the album data, generated by AIMP's stream. (Suggested last February by u/ax_colleen.)

Elsewhere in the real world: Forget my laptop ever receiving a Windows Update, if at all. The total capacity on this unit--an HP Stream 11-y012nr--matches Microsoft's installation requirements of 32 GB these days, and the poor system will break should I move on. Apparently, the HP team never saw that coming in the first place, making the likes of these models an afterthought from 2019 on. Which can only mean one thing: Either stay with the chronic low space, or move up to a better system with help from the long-in-gestation anthro-commission line. (Still US$19.78 for the first several customers; I'll let you know when I open for business. Will you be there too, @bleuxwolf?)

And that'll do until next month; remember me as I turn 33 next Wednesday. Between now and next week's remount of the grand-opening rendezvous at Marigot #4270 (blame some missing scrobbles from the first two days for that), I'm heading back to Novissima on QGIS (after many months on developmental hiatus); I wouldn't do so unless I bothered with this announcement. (Although Rogatia isn't leaving my schedule for the foreseeable future.) Later on down the road, a new score for the Unspooled saga; a couple of apps that may save the new team some trouble; and the resumption of draft development for Books 1, 2, 3, and 6. (Just don't expect any finished product to surface for another 2-3 years; I learned the hard way when I missed a November 2018 deadline for the manuscript. This was supposed to be my gift to fellow Nature Islanders on their country's 40th anniversary of Independence, but alas...)

From the one, the only, the all-new...
