CHOMP! Yeah baby, yeah!
Edibles are one of the most necessary forms of cannabis for patients. Opiate addicts can get off the hardest drugs known to man, with CANNABIS EDIBLES! The other really helpful form is dabs (extracts). Both of these forms are going to be heavily regulated and restricted, leading to suffering and even death. Really not cool, they're putting profits over patients!

Oh, cool! Glad to be able to inform somebody about it, then. The mainstream is being fairly hushhush about it, although recently even Sanjay Gupta (CNN's stooge doctor) did a segment about it. Locally in Vancouver, my friend Neil Magnuson (great activist and person) has been running a program called Cannabis Substitution Project, they're on FB if anybody wants to look them up. He takes donations from the community (ie black market dispensaries, growers, patients, activists, etc) and gives them out for free to anyone trying to get off opiates, other hard drugs, even other legal pharmaceuticals. He does it twice a week. Each care pack includes info about cannabis, a couple edibles, a couple joints, maybe something else like an infused sandwich or drink. Stuff that can actually change lives and replace a few doses of something that might kill a person. 14 die every day here in Canada from opiate overdoses. 14 every day!! Several of those are right here in Vancouver, but Neil and the CSP are doing everything they can. They almost never send anyone away without some cannabis even if it's just a pinner or an infused candy. All volunteer-run. The city turns a blind eye but IMO they should be funding it, or at least helping out in some way! Life-saving initiatives are barely allowed to exist, while they're pumping more opiates into more people every day, creating more addicts, more problems they can't fix.
Cannabis doesn't hit all the same receptors that opiates do, but severe addicts tell me that either edibles or dabs (or both) hit enough of the spots that their craving can be ignored, and it gets them though.
They also find that the cannabis causes health benefits for them and improves life overall, whereas opiates tend to damage people's health over time, and lead to more misery overall.
My hat is off to everybody involved with the CSP in downtown Vancouver, saving lives, proving the things said about cannabis for 80 years were lies, providing access to patients as the City of Vancouver raids/closes dispensaries and farmers markets.

I only learned about CannTrust recently when they won all the awards at the 2018 Cannabis Award Ceremony. Thought Iβd give them a try. Do you still order from them ? Might pick up some dried flowers if there are any sales since they get very good reviews.

Not anymore, but everything went smoothly prior to recreational legalization.
