Sherbert Cookies - Strain Review - Bigpchef's Weed Life

Sherbert Cookies

Sherbert Cookies is a hybrid strain. It is a cross between Sunset Sherbert x Girl Scout Cookies. Both are excellent indica dominant strains; making this bud a heavy leaning Indica-hybrid.

I got this particular bud from CHAI dispensary in Santa Cruz, CA. Price was $52 out the door.

Smell

Unfortunately, as pretty as this bud is, the taste is just non existent. It smells stale (not moldy), just like it sat out for weeks and weeks. Either that, or the grower completely fucked up on the pheno selection, as in picked a shitty seed line. Both strains have quite the distinct fragrances, so for this offspring to have basically no smell whatsoever, is quite disappointing.

Delivery System / View

I opted to use my Pax 2 vaporizer. I knew with the low terpene profile that there would not be much flavor produced from a straight J. Usually the vaporizer gives off a much stronger flavor due to the low temperature and lack of combustion.

Again, I am resorted to hanging out "at least 30 ft" away from the building at all times when smoking (yes even vaping), so today the ducks are my friends. It is beautiful day however, and a cool 62 degrees.

And let's not forget Mr/Mrs. Crane.

Test Results (taste while using and feeling after)

The taste is non-existent. Nothing else needs to be said, or can be said about it.

The feels are quite relaxing, with a rather prominent head buzz. At first I was feeling super relaxed and getting into the zoning out zone. But since then, I am feeling rather sleepy and sluggish. No doubt the heavy Indica is taking it's effects.

Verdict

While the flavor is greatly lacking in this particular pheno, I do love the effect. The over all clam and lack of anxiety is top notch. That has a lot to do with the GSC strain involved, not so much to do with the Sherbert Cookie pheno.

Ordinarily if something taste like this, it would end up in my 'Do Not Smoke' pile, but since it is a cookie cross, I will make an exception and finish it off. I can say one thing for sure, it is a damn fine looking pheno. Vibrant colors, an amazing bud structure, and shitty taste - make this a very sad situation.
