Weh Island (or We) is a small volcanic island located in the Northwest of the island of Sumatra. The island was once connected to the island of Sumatra, but later separated by sea after a volcanic eruption last time at the time of the Pleistocene. The island is located in the Andaman Sea. The largest city on the island of Weh Sabang, i.e. is a municipality in westernmost Indonesia at the end of the city of Banda Aceh. The island is famous for the ecosystem. WEH meaning itself is one of the pronunciation of the word for "Moving". Natural charm which shows the beauty of the infinite ocean with water so clean and beautiful.

Weh island is located in the Andaman Sea, where two groups of Islands, namely, the Nicobar Islands and Andaman Islands, scattered in one line from Sumatra to the Burma plate. The Andaman Sea is located in a small, active plate tectonics. A complex fault system and volcanic arc Islands have formed along the sea by the movement of tectonic plates.
The island lies about 15 kilometres (10 miles) off the northernmost tip of Sumatra. The island is a small island with an area of only 156.3 km ², but mountainous. The highest peak is a fumarolic volcano, with a height of 617 metres (2024 feet). The mountain's last eruption occurred in the Pleistocene age. As a result of this eruption, most of the mountain was destroyed, filled with the sea and thus a separate island.
