A trader is seen being registered SIM card in his outlet in Bumi Serpong Damai, Tangerang, Banten, on Tuesday (7/11/2017). The government requires re-registration of SIM card for mobile phone users until February 28, 2018 using the NIK and family card (KK) numbers.
LOMBOK, KOMPAS.com - Telkomsel telecommunication company admitted experiencing a decrease in revenues from pre-paid SIM card registration. However, Telkomsel claims this decline in revenue does not mean the company suffered losses.
"(Revenue) It is slowing down, not exactly loss, not loss but income decrease," said Director of Telkomsel Ririek Adriansyah in media gathering event in Lombok, Friday (5/11/2018).
He did not describe exactly how the decline in revenue experienced by Telkomsel. According to Ririek, the decrease in revenue occurs because Telkomsel has to pay for activities and promos that encourage users to register card.
One example of the promo that was held is a 10 GB quota bonus for Telkomsel prepaid SIM card customers who do the registration.
