Is the Bond Market Thermostat Being Reactivated?

In this report, I cover the bond market and the sharp rise in yields that we saw in the first week of October 2018.
The U.S Treasury yield soared from 3.05% the previous week to 3.23% on Friday, October 5th while investors and traders sold off bonds.

The focus of this report is to look at the historical picture and show how the trend of decreasing interest rates and growing debts since the early 1980s may have actually ended. What this means is that we could be on the cusp of a trend of rising interest rates and increasing debt defaults.

My conclusion is that despite the apparent health of the U.S. economy there is a much higher probability of the economy being a runaway train than yacht plain sailing into a safe harbor. I also note that for the first time in many years the bond markets and interest rates have come back to life after being put into hibernation by the Central Bankers.

Wonderful market analysis. We always get the updates from your every dtube video. Though I don't have much idea about market but I like your great explanation.

Thanks.

Higher interest rates could cause problems for some I can’t see this ending well in the end, thanks mike

I have no doubt that we are heading to the cliff. Few people who prepared their life jacket would survive.

Great presentation content, however your charts are cropped in such a way that I cannot see the area that you want us to see. Like you often say, this is not advice just my opinion. I think you should work on how you crop your graphs, keeping in mind that all videos are landscape formatted and not the portrait style.
