Visiting the Winter Market Fair and supporting the Local Home businesses

Last evening I visited the local Winter Market Fair in the city, which is put up by people who are into small time home businesses. They come together and put up the market in one central place. Yesterday's market fair was put up at the Oman Convention center. It's a big place so a lot of people could be accommodated. With the festive season going on, it was a delight to visit this place.

The products that were being sold in this place were mostly all organic products and Christmas goodies. People had made such fanciful things and it was all looking so gorgeous. The only thing was that I was finding all the items little over priced. And that was probably because they had to recover the cost of the rentals as well, which made sense.

The vibe of this place was nice, very festive and high energy

From this stall I bought one essential oil of palo santo, specially to use in meditation. It has antimicrobial properties which helps in calming the nervous system.

I am fond of this particular home brand Verde & Green, their candles are beautiful.

Very beautifully designed candle holders and decorative stones that can be used as paper weights.

I loved this Origami hand made stars. But I did not buy as I found them too expensive. I think they deserved the price, but it was little heavy for me on the pocket so I had to skip.

Taking a closer look at them.

From this place I bought a few things, Soaps, Bath Bombs, and Manicure, Pedicure kits. All the products are completely natural, homemade, no chemicals. Highly recommended.

I loved these designs of evil eye, hamsa hand and the butterfly. They were simple and neat.

And some traditional middle eastern stuff

Hats for the children, they were all colorful and bright

And some other fancy cutlery

This planks also attracted me. They are so neatly made with the messages.

Skate boards and masks. I could see that the children were getting attracted with these masks and many were buying them.

There were some food counters also serving all different types of cuisines and also a bar set up. A good evening time could be spent in this place. The fair is going to be for 3 days. I hope these people can do a good amount of selling and recover their cost. Because from what I was seeing, there were very few people who were buying things, most of them were just strolling around and then directly going to food stalls. The food stalls surely must have made good profits. I nowadays mostly support the small time home business rather then going in for fancy brands.
