in marketfriday •  7 years ago  (edited)

Today is MarketFriday again initiated by @dswigle, so here I am with another Craft Fair post. This time I'm going to post about ceramics, handmade, hand painted pottery!

A lot of people like this kind of art, especially my lovely friend Melinda, @melinda010100. I was thinking of her and Denise while I took these photos.

This is new to me, I've never seen this style of pottery but I like it. These products were made in Maramures, Romania.

I could pick a bowl of each, they are all lovely! The blue and white combination reminds me of Delft pottery, delftware which is also blue and white, different style though.

I don't know about you but this is heaven for me.

I could see a whole house decorated with these products, a rustic house for weekends.

Pay attention to those wonderful brown flowerpots on the left. Those are made for flowers and would look great filled with flowers.

There are little ceramic bells and carafes on rope or cord. There has to be an explanation for that, some significance but I don't know it, looks good though.

Boots, anyone? These are so funny! :D Boots as flower pots. I can see this on my balcony and I'm going to buy one one day.

We see these pottery products as decorative products now but I can't stop thinking about those times when these were used in everyday life in kitchens.

Food and drink was served once in these and you can still find places where people are using them.

Plates and carafes for every taste.

This is the first part of my pottery post for #marketfriday run by our lovely Denise, @dswigle.

Oh I want to go shopping with you! I love the tree plate! And those boots, I want one, too! You will have to buy it and send me photos of it on your balcony! Tip!

I knew you would love it! :) I would buy a boot like that but have no idea what kind of flower to plant in it. What do you think? A running plant like petunia? Or something short? I don't know.
Thank you so much for the Tip! You're spoiling me again! :)

Petunias would look really cute in there! Not ideal for violets, though!😜

No, it's not for violets. I want to go to a place where these are made, it's a bit far but let's see if I can convince the others to make a trip there this summer.

What a wonderful array of decorative pottery and handmade crafts @erikah I'd have difficulty choosing what to buy as they are all so beautiful. A great post with superb photos my friend.

Oh, yes!! Can we make it a threesome? I want to come with @melinda010100 and you to shop for the pottery plates! The tree ones are my first choice, so beautiful!

In some ways, it reminds me of Polish Pottery, which I bought quite a bit when I was in Poland. The different factories made different colors and designs. We use them for everyday meals. I can see using those that you show.

I would be in heaven!

The boot is fabulous, I would love to find one of those! I might put a geranium in it or something that hangs down a little bit. But petunias would work well too.

You have hit the jackpot with this post, Erikah! I was trying to figure out why they had the carafes on a cord, but, couldn't come up with an answer. Thank you so much for bringing me (and everyones else) with you on your visit to this craft fair. They have certainly been fun and interesting to walk through. The time and effort to put a post like this together is appreciated!

Upped and Steemed

Tip!

I'm very glad you like it and yes, we can all go together and have fun!
Thank you so much again dear Denise! 🤗😘

I just realized that I forgot to resteem yours, so I just did it!

No problem, don't worry about it, I'm not checking it :D never do :))

I don't either, but, I do like to resteem them all when a post is put up. No worries, it got done, and perhaps that will be better as it is daytime here with more traffic.

Who knows? :)

Hugs and kisses :))

Oh, How beautiful!!
Did you spend all your money? I would have. And I love to use beautiful dishes like that. They might break, sure. but such is life and we get to enjoy them every minute we use them :)

I didn't spend a cent 😜
I would have but I was in a big hurry, had to leave town, so there was no time for shopping.

Your pocketbook was saved!!! :)

Indeed 😀

Another wonderful display of the Craft Fair can't believe how they have at this craft fair all so amazing ...yep i wouldn't mind a couple of those Boots they would look great on my balcony with a Bonsai planted in them. Thanks again for taking us to the craft fair again and great photos :)

My pleasure and thank you for visiting my post, I'm still behind with my visits. This is just half of the market, there is still plenty of material to post :)

Loving it and looking forward to your next edition. Cheers have a great day :)
