We visited the gold souk on Thursday. Could have spent days there. It is amazing to see the skills of the goldsmiths in these dresses.

The golden wedding dress is so fascinating! It's incredible to see the difference in culture there is between the USA and other countries, like Dubai. Seems like such a fancy way to get married!

The golden wedding dresses were in the past part of the dowry of the bride. (Bride price) The practice was common in many countries including Ireland and America. Not sure if the practice continues but the gold dresses are as popular as ever.
